Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any restrictions regarding age and nationality?

There is no age limit for all of our share houses!
All nationalities are more than welcome!

However we do ask that all our residents have a conversational level of English and/or Japanese.

Do I have to be employed to become a resident?

As long as you can make payments on time, we are more than happy to welcome you as a resident even if you are not employed!

Do you offer private rooms?

Yes, all of our rooms in the sharehouse are private rooms, with a lock provided!
Depending on the sharehouse, there will be between four to six private rooms.

We also have a very limited number of dormitory type rooms (two people per room).

Are there any other inital fees other than rent and contract fee?

No!
The initial fee is the rent and utilities fee (charged for the number of days you stay in the first month) plus the contract fee of 22,000yen (including tax)!

What is the minimum period of stay?

Generally the minimum stay is one month, however we also offer weekly contracts (minimum of seven days) for short-term!

Is there a rota system for throwing out the trash?

In most of our sharehouses, there is no rota system and we ask each resident to take the trash our a few times per month.
In the rare circumstance when residents do not comply with our request, we will provided a rota system!

Who does the cleaning?

We have specialized staff who will clean the sharehouse twice per month.
However we do ask to keep the communal spaces clean (ie clean up after cooking etc).

Of course, your own room is your own responsibility!

Can I bring guests?

Bringing guests (male or female) is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will lead to eviction from the sharehouse.
This is for the safety and privacy of our residents.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will lead to immediate eviction of the sharehouse.
NB. Vaping, electronic cigarettes is also prohibited.

I have never been to Tokyo…where is the best place to live?

If you let us know your place of work or study and also your budget along with any other requirements, our staff will be more that happy to recommend a few of our sharehouses!

Are there any fees when leaving the sharehouse?

There is a general cleaning fee of 5,500yen (including tax).
However if there is damage to bedding or any of the items we provide, you will be asked to pay for these by your departure date.
