Commonshare - short stays

2020.02.24

Just passing through!

There are plenty of options for long stays in Tokyo, from monthly apartments and long term rentals to social living spaces! However if you find yourself in Tokyo for just a week or so, your only main option until now has been the hotel or an internet cafe.

With hotels being expensive and only offering a bed and shower, it`s not so great for budget travelling.
And while internet cafes do offer you a cheap option to rest your eyes, there is a definite lack of privacy, safety and security….

What exactly is a share house?

A share house is where you have your own private room (which comes with a lock) equipped with a bed, bedding, new sheets (brand new sheets!), desk, table and mirror!

The rest is shared between the other house guests (for Commonshare, our share houses are from four to six people, depending on the house!).

This includes a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom and shower!

Benefits of a Commonshare share house?

The main benefit of a Commonshare share house over a hotel, is the price!! A cheap in hotel in central Tokyo will cost you about 10,000yen per night.

Another benefit is that you have full access to the kitchen area, where you are free to cook until your heart is content – saving you money from eating out or buying food in from expensive convenience stores.

How much will it cost me?

We have one price for all of our rooms making it nice and simple!!

We charge 3,000yen per day and a processing fee of 5,500yen – a minimum stay of 7 days!
(all prices include tax!)

Recommended for…

Some of our most popular share houses are:

・Shinjuku ・Ueno ・Asakusa ・Ikebukuro
・Akihabara ・Ryōgoku

Most of our share houses are within a 5 minute walk from the nearest train station, making it great for sight-seeing, getting to work or as a central base for traveling to other locations in Japan!

How do I apply?

First things first – have a look at all our rooms and pick a room that suits your needs!

If this is your first time to Tokyo and you are not too sure, just drop us a line, telling us where you want to be based, or where you want to visit, your dates, and we can recommend the best share house for you!

You don’t have to pay up front and we can take reservations up to one month in advance!

Moving in day

On the day of moving in, our staff (fluent in English) will meet you at the nearest train station, and take you to the share house and help you settle in!

Our staff can meet you between 11am and 6pm every day!

We will send you an invoice before your stay, so please prepare the fee, a copy of your ID and you are all set!
